WESTPORT – Registration is now open for the next school year’s Kindergarten.
If your child will be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026, Westport Public Schools encourages you to register them as soon as possible. Early registration helps the district plan and ensures a smoother start for all children.

Save the date for a Kindergarten information session
Parents and/or caregivers of registered children will be invited to attend a school-based informational meeting about Kindergarten on Friday, March 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. At this event, parents will learn more details about Kindergarten from teachers and other staff. This program is for parents and caregivers only.
Kindergarten orientation
In May, an orientation session for parents and children will occur at your child’s elementary school. An invitation will be sent to all registered kindergarten families. If you are unsure about the elementary school your child should attend, please go to this school locator.
