Thomas A. Orofino, 79, of Westport, passed away peacefully at his home on October 3, 2026. Tom was a resident of Westport for 44 years and, for the last 13 years of his life, he happily made his home near Compo Beach, a place that brought him great joy.

Tom was the son of Francis and Lillian Orofino and brother to Frank and Tony Orofino. He was the beloved husband of Leslie Orofino, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage.

He was a cherished father and father-in-law to Tom and Kelly Orofino of Westport, and to Liz and Matt Simpson of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He was the proud and loving grandfather of his treasured grandchildren, Colin, Olivia and Liam Orofino, and Connor, Cameron and Bryn Simpson.

A graduate of Villanova University, Tom was a successful businessman who owned and operated his own company, Collateral Guarantee, for many years. In the later years of his career, he enjoyed working as a commercial real estate agent.

Tom found the greatest joy in the simple things: spending time with his grandchildren, relaxing at his favorite spot at Compo Beach, and visiting with his many friends and family. He had a kind and generous heart and a genuine ability to make the people around him feel loved.

Truly, a life well lived.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral on Friday October 9, 2026 at 11 a.m., meeting directly at St. Luke Church, 49 Turkey Hill Road N., Westport, for a Mass of Christian Burial.
