
FAIRFIELD–The STORMAC (Staples, Norwalk, McMahon) hockey team improved to 3-4 winning two of its last three matchups including a 6-1 victory versus Fairfield at Sacred Heart University’s Martire Family Arena on Wednesday.
It was a nice bounce-back win following a 6-1 loss to Westhill-Stamford at Terry Conners Rink in Stamford on Saturday.
Berk Johnson scored a hat-trick and Jakub Laskovsky, Devin Harris and Ben Homewood also lit the lamp.
James Tomoda, James Lacoseglio, Shane Power and Laskovsky all had two assists and Kyle Hesen, Brett Malizia and Dylan Burdeshaw each recorded assists.
Goaltender Mason Mountain made 21 saves as STORMAC outshot Fairfield 26-22.
The previous win was a nail-biter, 3-2 over Newtown-New Fairfield at Danbury Ice Arena on Jan. 7.
Lacoseglio scored twice and Johnson hit the back of the net. Laskovsky, and Tomoda recorded assists. Mountain stopped 20 shots.
STORMAC is home, at Milford Ice Pavilion, for its next two games as Westhill-Stamford visits tonight at 8 p.m. and Trumbull visits Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 7:30.
