WESTPORT–A Weston woman is accused of crashing into a parked Honda Civic at HomeGoods, 1850 Post Road East, and driving off without reporting it, Westport police said.

Leslie Leibman, 67, allegedly struck a parked car with her Volvo in the parking lot of the store on April 21, police said. A witness who reported the incident told police that both cars were damaged.

Investigators identified Leibman as the registered owner of the Volvo, police said.

“Leibman was reportedly not cooperative during multiple attempts by the investigating officer to follow up with her regarding this matter,” police said in an announcement. “An arrest warrant was ultimately sought and granted for her.”

On the evening of Monday, July 13, officers arrested Leibman at her Weston home and charged her with evading responsibility, a misdemeanor. She was released on $1,000 bond and is due in Superior Court in Stamford on July 31.
