WESTPORT–A 37-year-old Westport man has been arrested on a charge of emailing himself videos of child pornography, Westport police said.

Alexander Perry turned himself in at Westport Police Headquarters on Oct. 2, more than a year after Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit alerted the town police about suspected child pornography being shared online.

The state police told local investigators in April 2025 that two files were emailed on two occasions between two email addresses allegedly held by Perry. The files included videos that showed suspected child sexual abuse.

After an investigation, police identified Perry as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Perry was charged with first-degree possession of sexual abuse materials, a felony. He was released on $25,000 bond and is due in Superior Court in Stamford on Dec. 1.
