WESTPORT – The Staples Wreckers field hockey team have completed a perfect regular season. 

They blanked host Ridgefield 3-0 on Monday to finish the slate with a record of 16-0 with 11 shutouts along the way. Staples has not allowed a goal during the last five games.

Ella Ledenko, Leah Larit and Ava Pattinson scored and Larit and Catherine Cirasuolo notched assists against Ridgefield.

Staples earned the FCIAC tournament’s top seed. They will host No. 8 Trumbull in tomorrow’s quarterfinal match at 3:30 p.m. The Wreckers blanked Trumbull 4-0 during the regular season.

Semifinals will be at neutral site Greenwich High Saturday, Oct. 25 at noon or 2 p.m. and the finals will be Thursday, Oct. 30 (also at Greenwich High) at 5 p.m.
