Editor’s note: following is an opinion submitted by Westporters Melissa Banks, Laura Graybill and Jackie Schiavone.

We are proud to support Kristin Mott Purcell for her fifth term as our District 1 Representative on the Westport RTM. Kristin has spent the past 24 years as a committed member of the Compo Beach community and a thoughtful, effective advocate for Westport.

She’s been an active member of the Compo Beach Improvement Association for over a decade, working to preserve and enhance our neighborhood. Kristin co-founded the Compo Beach Summer Stroll, an annual celebration of our beach community, and she coordinates the Association’s popular annual block party—an event that brings neighbors together and strengthens local connection. She’s also organized safety forums with our Chief of Police and consistently ensured that Compo families have a voice in town decisions.

On the RTM, Kristin chairs the Library & Museum Arts Committee and serves on both the Education and Parks & Recreation Committees. Her leadership has helped care for our beaches, parks, Longshore, the Westport Library and she continues to support excellent education for our children.

Kristin understands what makes Compo special—and she works every day to protect it. Her experience, dedication, and steady leadership make her a valuable voice for our district.

Please join us in voting for Kristin Mott Purcell for RTM District 1.
