WESTPORT — “Westoberfest,” a craft-beer celebration of the season, with food, music and family-oriented activities, will take place Oct. 14.

The event, organized for a sixth year by the Westport Downtown Association, is set from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, centered at Sigrid Shultz Plaza off Elm Street. It will take place rain or shine.

To purchase Westoberfest tickets online, click here. Tickets purchased in advance cost $45 for individual general admission; they will be sold for $55 on Oct. 14.

More than 60 craft-beers tastings will be on offer, as well as gluten-free beer, spirits and canned cocktails. Tasting glasses with matching beer koozies will be provided by Lux Bond & Green, according to event organizers.

Food also will be available at the festival site from Walrus Alley, Kneads Bakery, Lobstercraft, Little Pub, Los Poblanos and Dough Girls.

Music will be performed by One Bad Oyster, a market of retail vendors will be on hand and there will a designated section for children’s activities, including a magician, face painting and pumpkin and apple giveaways.
