RIDGEFIELD – The biennial Ridgefield Holiday House Tour will take place this weekend, with six historic properties decked out in festive holiday decorations.
Tours are available between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6th. The event is presented by the Ridgefield Historical Society and Tiger Hollow Inc., and proceeds support both of these not-for-profit organizations. The event is sponsored by Karla Murtaugh Homes.
Tickets are still available for the 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. tour, and are $100 per person.
Guests on the tour take a short walk from the Lounsbury House on Main Street to two other homes, then board buses to visit the remaining four sites. Each site features its own unique story and charm, and visitors will get an opportunity to tour the interiors to see how interior designers and homeowners have incorporated the structure’s historic features with their holiday decor.
Following the tour, guests can browse a holiday market at the Lounsbury House as well as a selection of raffle prizes. Both of these features are also open to the general public.
