WESTPORT–The Staples High School musicians’ popular Westport Pops Concert returns to the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts on June 5.

The event features the Staples High School Symphonic Orchestra and Band, Jazz Ensemble One, Choralaires, Sonora, the Orphenians, Stradivarius Chamber Orchestra and small group ensembles.

Hosted by Tony Award-winning actor James Naughton, the musical tradition was established in 2016 and is a highlight of the Levitt Pavilion’s Spring programming.

The lawn at the Levitt Pavilion, at 40 Jesup Road, opens for concert goers at 6 p.m. (bring your own chair). The concert begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are free, but organizers suggest a donation of $15 per ticket to help offset the concert’s production costs. Tickets can be acquired on a first-come, first-served basis at wpsarts.org/staplesmusic beginning tomorrow, Friday, May 22, at 9 a.m.

In the event of inclement weather, ticket holders will be notified by email of an alternative venue, where tickets will be honored.

This annual concert, modeled on Boston’s fabled Pops on the Esplanade Concert Series.
