GREENWICH–The Staples Wreckers Girls Soccer team notched its first win of the season Friday afternoon, 1-0 against Greenwich.

Goalie Cami Kolek’s defense was perfect; this is her first clean sheet of the young season. Her efforts to defend the Wreckers goal was helped by the team’s blanketing defense.

With less than eleven minutes left in the game, Reilly McGeehan headed the ball to Ryan Lapatine who shot and scored the game’s only goal.

The Girls Soccer team will take their 1-0-2 record to Danbury at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
