TRUMBULL–Staples girls tennis made it 10 wins in 11 matches thus far, adding to its total of 7-0 dominance with its sixth and seventh such victories this week — beating visiting Bridgeport Central on Monday and host Trumbull the next day.
Against Trumbull, No. 1 singles standout Olivia Lazar won 6-0, 6-0, No, 2 Amelia Berkowitz won 6-0, 6-1, No. 3 Adrianna Gavriloiu won 6-1, 6-3 and No. 4 Abby Brandini prevailed 6-3, 6-1.
In doubles play, No. 1 Rachel Guzman and Emme Steinberg won 6-0, 6-1, No, 2 Isa Alfageme and Raleigh Sipkin won 7-5, 6-3 and No. 3 Dylan Lehrer and Devyn Peffer took their match 6-0, 6-1.
In the Central match, Gavriloiu played first singles and won 6-0, 6-1. No. 2 Kat Singer won 6-1, 6-1, No. 3 Kayla Stanley won 7-6, 7-6 and No. 4 Brandini won 6-2, 6-1. In doubles play, No. 1 Lehrer and Lazar won 6-0, 6-2, No. 2 Alfageme and Peffer were victorious 6-1, 6-0 and No. 3 Guzman and Sipkin came out on top 6-0, 6-0.
