The STORMAC (Staples, Norwalk, Brien McMahon) hockey team began the season with a 2-2 tie at Newington on Dec. 17. 

Shane Power and Allesandro Gomez scored and Jakub Laskovsky, James Tomoda and James Lacoseglio logged assists. Goaltender Mason Mountain compiled 26 saves.

STORMAC beat JBWA (Joel Barlow, Weston, Abbott Tech) 4-1 at Danbury Ice Arena on Dec. 20. 

Laskovsky scored a hat-trick and Lacoseglio lit the lamp. James Tomoda had two assists and Lacoseglio, Kyle Hesen and Anthony Deyulio all had assists. Mountain stopped 22 shots.

STORMAC lost to Shepaug 4-3 in overtime at the Frederick Gunn School in Washington on Dec. 22. Brett Malizia scored twice and Tomoda hit the back of the net. Mac Lawton, JC Gura and Max Wolkwitz recorded assists. Mountain made 27 saves.
