The old and new homes at 59 Woodside Ave.
WESTPORT–The Building Department issued a demolition permit for the original house at 59 Woodside Ave. in March 2020. A new house has been built in its place.
The old house, built in 1952, was a single-story ranch with 1,800-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a crawl space, a garage, a stone patio and an enclosed porch.
On the property today stands a 4,600-square-foot, 2 ½-story custom Colonial, with six bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half bath, a crawl space, a garage, a porch, a finished upper story, a finished ¾-story and an unfinished attic.
The assessed value of the property was $521,000 in 2019 and is $1,249,300 today.
Woodside Avenue connects Kings Highway N and Stonybrook Road.
