WESTPORT — The Building Department has issued a permit to demolish the house at 24 Bauer Place.
The 1¼-story Cape Cod was built in 1959. It has 1,400 square feet of living space, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a basement, brick patio and finished attic expansion.
The property traded hands in December for $969,000. It had previously traded for $255,000 in 1987. The property’s current assessment is $380,100.
Bauer Place is off Old Road, between Post Road East and Maple Avenue North.
