WESTPORT — A forum updating the town’s “Traffic and Pedestrian Safety” plan will take place Oct. 26 at Town Hall.

The meeting, called to update the public on the status of the report’s recommendations, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Town Hall auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave.

The report, compiled from results of meetings last year in each of the town’s nine Representative Town Meeting districts, was issued in January.

Since then, a series of measures has been approved based on some of the recommended safety upgrades, most recently by the Board of Selectwomen for four trouble spots around town.

Joining First Selectwomen Jennifer Tooker at the session will be representatives of the Department of Public Works, the Police and Fire departments, and the Planning and Zoning Department.

In addition to providing updates, officials say the public will have a chance to ask questions and provide feedback on other local traffic and pedestrian issues.
