Three Staples students to attend international summit

WESTPORT — Three Staples High School students next month will attend a leadership gathering in France with students from around the globe interested in world affairs.

Kate Bulkeley, Olivia Saw and Olivia Cohn will represent Staples at the 11th “Normandy International Youth Leadership Summit” from Nov. 22-30. The gathering will be hosted by Institution Saint Joseph in Le Havre, France.

High-performing students selected to attend the gathering will exchange ideas with fellow delegates and “develop action plans to address an issue affecting their community and the world,” according to the school district’s announcement. They “will also implement their action plan upon completion of the program.”
