WESTPORT — Eight students at Staples High School have been named “Students of the Month” for October.

They are: seniors Brianna Caporale and Henry Lobsenz, juniors Sarah Kalb and Grady McHugh, sophomores Jace Darby and Maya Stafford, and freshmen Derin Leon and Moni Mazaheri.

Nominated by their teachers, the students make positive contributions in class as well as the Staples community, according to the announcement by Principal Stafford Thomas, and are considered “all-around good citizens of our school.”
