WESTPORT — With freezing rain forecast to continue into Friday evening, causing dangerous conditions on the roads, these local closings have been announced:

  • Westport public schools: Classes called off for the day in a 5:30 a.m. announcement.
  • Westport Center for Senior Activities: Closed for the day; the center closes in coordination with the public schools. Classes scheduled via Zoom, however, will take place as planned.
  • Westport Library: Closing for the day at 11:30 a.m.
  • Westport-Weston Family YMCA: Open, although the Y’s after-school program will not take place because local schools are closed.
