WESTPORT — The Westport Community Theatre is ending its latest season this weekend, drawing the curtain on its final performances of The Matchmaker.
The show will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26th and Saturday, June 27th. A 2 p.m. matinee performance will be held on Sunday, June 28th.
The Matchmaker is the last of five performances staged by the Westport Community Theatre in the 2025-2026 season. Written by Thornton Wilder, it takes place in 19th century New York City and follows wealthy widower Horace Vandergelder’s aspirations to marry milliner Irene Malloy. He seeks help from Dolly Levi in this endeavor, unaware that Dolly also wants his hand. The farce inspired the hit 1964 musical Hello Dolly!
This show was directed by Mark Frattaroli and stars Pat Spaulding as Vandergelder and Lucy Babbitt as Levi. For tickets and more information, visit westportcommunitytheatre.com.
