WESTPORT–The conditions were near perfect for the Matteo Bocelli performance at the Levitt Pavilion on Friday night.

In front of 1,800 paying guests, on a beautiful summer evening, the Italian crooner sang many of his most beloved songs.

“We are honored to have presented Matteo Bocelli live on the Epstein Stage at the Levitt Pavilion and to welcome the Falling In Love tour to Westport for what was an unforgettable evening,” said Freda Welsh, President and C.E.O. of the Levitt Pavilion.

Executive Producer Carleigh Welsh added, “The concert was a perfect blend of Matteo’s classical, Italian heritage with modern pop for a taste of ‘la dolce vita’ right here in Westport.

According to Carleigh Welsh, Bocelli is rapidly becoming a global sensation. He is a gifted singer, song-writer, and multi-instrumentalist, who outshone a beautiful sunset and starry skies.

The concert featured contemporary and classical covers and included several original works from his latest album Falling In Love, which features songs with music and lyrics composed by Bocelli as well as collaborations with artists, including Jon Batiste.

Grammy and Academy Award nominated Stephan Moccio, a Canadian composer, producer, pianist, arranger, conductor and recording artist, opened the show and later joined Bocelli on stage.

Tonight’s concert will feature EGGY with Tom Hamilton and a DJ set by Ross Bogan. Tickets available here. Tomorrow’s show is a free-of-charge performance by Val Ramos Flamenco Ensemble.
