NEW HAVEN – The New Haven Symphony Orchestra will bring back its popular Family Concert Series in November, with four performances taking place statewide.

The free concert series – “Clap, Clap, Stomp!” – will explore the bluegrass music genre, including the instruments played and the history behind it. Performing musicians include fiddler Austin Scelzo and vocalist Charlie Widmer from the bluegrass band On The Trail as well as NHSO musician Sam Bobinski on the bass.
Performances will take place on the following dates:
- Saturday, Nov. 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton
- Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ansonia Public Library
- Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Russell Library in Middletown
- Sunday, Nov. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Dr. Reginald Mayo Early Learning School in New Haven
