WESTPORT – The original house at 4 Pequot Trail was built in 1955. The Building Department issued a demolition permit for that house in July 2021. The demolished house was a two story cape, with 3,400 square feet of living room, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two half-bathrooms with a basement, a screened porch and a stone patio.
On the property today stands a 5,200-square-foot, 2-story custom design, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, a basement area, a garage, an open porch, a finished upper story, a stone patio and an in-ground pool.
The property traded hands in December 2020 for $1,200,000. It had traded in 1999 for $850,000 and in 1989 for $780,000. The assessed value of the property was $730,800 in 2020 and is $1,608,700 today.
