WESTPORT — A “fast-moving” brush fire off Wilton Road was extinguished Monday afternoon by firefighters before it spread to nearby structures, according to a post on the Fire Department’s Facebook page.

Local firefighters were joined by Wilton fire crews in dousing the smoky blaze.
