WESTPORT–The Building Department has issued a permit to demolish the house at 42 Cross Highway. 

The 1½-story cape was built in 1950. It has 1,500-square-feet of living space, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a basement area, garage, concrete patio, finished half-story and inground pool.

The property traded hands in August for $1,000,000. It had previously traded for $660,000 in 2017, $650,000 in 2013, $630,000 in 2008 and for $557,000 in 2002.  The property’s current assessment is $475,800.
