WESTPORT–Early Saturday morning, a Westport resident was alerted to a possible intruder in his home.

The homeowner was away, but saw the intruder on his Blink security feed.

The homeowner contacted the Westport Police Department. Officers from Westport and Norwalk and troopers from the Connecticut State Police were dispatched, along with two K9 units.

With help from the homeowner monitoring his security feed, Norwalk Officer Arvanitakis and K9 Kato located the suspect, Daniel S. Abraham, hiding in a closet.

The jewelry found in the suspect’s possession was later identified as stolen from the residence.

Mr. Abraham is being held in police custody on a $100,000 bond.

The Westport PD reminds all Westporters to lock their homes and vehicles.
