WESTPORT–A Westport man was arrested over the weekend and charged with attempting to strangle a pregnant woman while threatening to kill her in a domestic dispute, Westport Police said.

Tae Juan Foskey, 27, argued verbally with the alleged victim, then assaulted and threatened her, police said. After the woman reported the incident on Feb. 21, police tried several times to serve an active warrant on Foskey. He turned himself in to police on Sunday, according to police.

Foskey is charged with third-degree assault of a pregnant woman, third degree criminal attempt at strangulation, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors. He was released on $100,000 bond and is due in Superior Court in Stamford on April 14.

He is also due in Superior Court in Bridgeport on March 20 to answer felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a Feb. 20, 2026 incident in Trumbull. The charges include five counts of risk of injury to a child, a felony, and misdemeanor counts of second-degree unlawful restraint, second-degree breech of peace, second-degree threatening, interfering with an officer or resisting arrest and third-degree assault. He was released from the Bridgeport court on $500,000 bond pending his next appearance.
