WESTPORT — Absentee ballot applications for the Nov. 2 municipal election will be available Saturday during extra hours at the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall.

The additional hours will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Town Clerk’s office, Room 105, in Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.

Under an act approved earlier this year by the state’s General Assembly, all voters are eligible to vote by absentee ballot for any election held this year before Nov. 3 because of COVID-19.

Applications for absentee ballots also will be accepted until Nov. 1 during regular weekday Town Clerk office hours. 

To be counted in the election, absentee ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office no later than 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2 — Election Day — when in-person voting also ends at polling stations across town.
