WESTPORT–The Westport Woman’s Club is calling for applications from Westport non-profits for the club’s annual Ruegg Grant. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 30.

The Ruegg Grant offers a one-time award of up to $10,000 for a social services, health, safety, arts, or education project that will impact Westporters during calendar years 2025 / 2026.

The grant was founded in 1995 from an endowment by former WWC member Lea Ruegg.

Over $200,000 in Ruegg Grants have been awarded by the WWC.

Westport-based non-profits with a significant 2025 / 2026 initiative are encouraged to apply to The Westport Woman’s Club, c/o Ruegg Grant Committee, 44 Imperial Avenue, Westport, CT 06880.

In addition to the Ruegg Grant, the Westport Woman’s Club supports local organizations through community service grants, college scholarships, Bedford Hall usage grants, and volunteer efforts. 

The Westport Woman’s Club, organized in 1907, is a non-profit philanthropic organization dedicated to volunteerism and the raising of funds in support of the educational, charitable, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns.
