WESTPORT — The seasons are changing, and with the onset of colder weather, change comes as well for the Westport Farmers Market.
On Nov. 18, the market dons its “Winter” mantle and moves to its cold-weather quarters at Gilbertie’s Herbs & Garden Center.
The Westport Winter Farmers Market will take place every Thursday (except Thanksgiving Day) from Nov. 18 through March 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Gilbertie’s, 7 Sylvan Lane.
To celebrate the seasonal changes Nov. 18, food trucks from Bubble and Brew and Parlor Pizza will be on hand.
Luke Molina will perform music and Mae Farrell will entertain children with nature-inspired crafts.
“We’re really excited to return to our favorite winter spot,” Lori Cochran-Dougall, the farm market’s executive director, said in announcing the winter changes.
“This will be an open-air market held throughout three greenhouses,” she said. “Your favorite summer vendors will continue to provide high-quality locally grown or raised fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, milk, baked and prepared foods, and handmade items consumers have come to expect.”
