WESTPORT — The “official” beach season at town beaches is drawing to a close and, as a result, lifeguard coverage is beginning to ebb.

At Burying Hill Beach, lifeguards will be on duty through 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.

Compo Beach will be staffed by lifeguards through the Labor Day holiday weekend, ending Monday, Sept. 5.

Emblems still will be required to enter the town’s beaches through Sept. 30.
