WESTPORT — Two productions — one for inquiring young minds, the other tackling midlife issues and beyond — will be on stage at the Westport Country Playhouse in coming days.

Rosie Revere, Engineer and Friends will be performed at 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13.

The musical, which spotlights the STEM curriculum of science, technology, engineering and math, is produced by TheaterWorksUSA

Based on the book, ““Rosie Revere, Engineer” and others by Andrea Beaty, the hour-long presentation is geared toward youngsters in kindergarten through fourth grade, according to playhouse publicity.

Tickets cost $20.

“Dot,” a play-reading presentation in the theater’s Script-in-Hand series, will be staged at 7 p.m. Monday, March 14.

Described as a “comedy/drama about mid-life crises and aging parents,” the play was written by Colman Domingo of the television series, “Fear the Walking Dead.”

The live performance, without costumes or sets, also will be filmed for on-demand streaming available from Thursday, March 17 through Sunday, March 20, according to the theater.

“Dot” “is as unsettling as it is compassionate, tackling the bonds of family and friendship with intelligence and heart,” Mark Shanahan, curator of the Script in Hand series, said in a publicity release.

“Domingo deftly crafts a family comedy which confronts big, difficult issues which are sometimes too difficult to talk about, and does so with an abundance of laughter and insight.”

In-person tickets cost $20 each. Tickets for on-demand streaming are $20 for an individual, $40 for a pair and $80 per household.
