WESTPORT–Regardless of the outcome of next week’s election, Deadheads will have the opportunity to cheer–or at least smile dreamily–as the Spadtastics take over the Trefz Forum.

The Spadtastics are a Darien-based Grateful Dead tribute band with 30 years of experience.

On Saturday, Nov. 8 at The Westport Library at 7 p.m., the Spadtastics will start the first set of a two-set show of 60s-70s Grateful Dead music.

Courtesy of co-promoters The Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce and the Westport Library, this is a special “Supper and Soul” event, without the supper. Due to the extended length of the show, dinner will not be associated with this event.

Instead, attendees may “enjoy a Dead-inspired drink before or after the show at one of four downtown restaurants: Basso, Massi Co, Spotted Horse or Walrus Alley,” said Matthew Mandell, Executive Director of the Chamber.

Beer, wine, spiked seltzer, and water will be available at the concert.

The band will perform two full sets, recreating a show from the 1970s.

“If you are a deadhead like me, this is a concert for the ages,” Mandell added.

Tickets are on sale for $30 and available on the Chamber website
