WESTPORT — Photographs by Michael Tomashefsky are featured in the “artist-of-the-month” exhibit for November at the Westport Book Shop.

Tomashefsky, an award-winning landscape and travel photographer, will exhibit his work through Nov. 30 at the book shop, 23 Jesup Road.

Tomashefsky’s photos are influenced by his love of nature from the time he was a child, as well as by painters of natural vistas such as Jacob van Ruisdael, John Constable, Asher Durand and the Impressionists.

He credits those painters “with informing his understanding of subject selection, framing, perspective and lighting. His hope is to bring some of the magic he’s learned from these artists to the viewer,” according to a publicity release for the exhibit.
