NEW HAVEN — Audiences will get the unique (and hilarious) opportunity to have a clown attempt to solve their personal problems during an award-winning show coming to the Yale Repertory Theatre this month.

Julia Masli, a clown from Estonia who is now based in London, will perform ha ha ha ha ha ha ha from Jan. 20th to Feb. 7th. The performance is directed by Kim Noble and presented by the Wooly Mammoth Theatre Company.

Since debuting at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2023, Masli’s shows promise “spontaneity, outlandish hilarity, and surprising poignancy.” Each performance is based on audience participation, so the shows differ considerably from venue to venue.

Two preview shows will take place before the show’s official opening night on Jan. 22nd. A pre-performance discussion will take place on Jan. 28th.
