NORWALK — A coming-of-age play that reimagines characters from the classic comic strip Peanuts will take the stage this month in a performance from the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts.
Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead will take place from Feb. 19th to 21st at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport. The play by Bert V. Royal “explores the uncertainty of adolescence as its characters navigate friendship, identity, grief, and growing up.” The debut production in 2004 was a breakout hit at the New York International Fringe Festival, earning the Excellence Award for Best Overall Production.
The performance features students from the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts under the direction of Malik Beckford. The play is recommended for audiences ages 16 and up.
Tickets are $45 for general admission and $25 for students and seniors, and available at thenorwalkconservatory.org.
