WESTPORT–Staples girls soccer won its third straight game via shutout, following up a 1-0 win at Wilton on Sept. 19 with an 8-0 triumph over Bridgeport Central on Thursday and a 1-0 win over Fairfield Warde on Saturday — both on home turf.
In their most recent victory, the Wreckers ended Warde’s four-game winning streak. Alexa Van Aken assisted Sienna Schwartz‘s goal.
In the win over Central, Sami Selig scored three times and Shea Root, Ruby Boroujerdi, Danielle Plieter and Neave Mulvey all scored.
Staples (5-2-3) will host Fairfield Ludlowe Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. Ludlowe is coming off a 1-0 setback to Warde on Thursday and scoreless tie with Ridgefield on Saturday.
