WESTPORT–Staples girls soccer won its first two contests of the season, blanking host Norwalk 7-0 on Monday and visiting Stamford 3-1 on Thursday.

In the win over Norwalk, Maddy Johnson netted three-goals for a hat-trick. Neave Mulvey scored twice and Willa Shamie and Addie Talbott also found the back of the net. Sami Selig had two assists and Maddie Grey, Shea Root, Alexa Van Aken and Issy Wasserman also set up goals.

Against Stamford, Emme Dorfman, Johnson and Emily Shiel had goals. Riely Gullans, Talbott and Mulvey all had assists.

The Wreckers get back to their busy week of game action with a Saturday visit to Notre Dame Prep of Fairfield at 6 p.m. Darien visits Staples Monday at 4 p.m.
