WESTPORT – StartUp Westport has announced four finalists for its 2nd annual PITCH competition taking place at Westport Library on Nov. 19.

Four startups from a diverse range of industries (healthcare, consumer wellness, education and workforce development) will take the stage from 6 to 8 p.m., competing for $30,000 in prizes.

From 41 applicants, 16 companies from across the state were selected to participate in a bootcamp that helped them refine their business ideas, strengthen their presentations, and prepare to pitch in front of an audience and panel of judges. Registration for the event is open to the public.

This year’s finalists include:

  • Batch Global — A global sperm donation marketplace designed to make the process of finding and connecting with donors more accessible;
  • PayScopeMD — An AI-powered platform that helps physicians benchmark employment contracts and better understand their compensation;
  • Biome Botanicals — A natural digestive health company; and
  • Starteryou — An AI-powered platform connecting people with work experiences and opportunities to build skills.

“This year’s applicants and participating companies were even more impressive and prepared than those in last year’s program,” said Peter Propp, vice president of StartUp Westport and PITCH program chair. “And this year we are proud to have provided opportunities for all of our companies to meet investors during our bootcamp.”

Each finalist will take the stage at the library to pitch their company, share their vision, and compete for awards. A panel of judges will select the competition winners, while the audience will also have a voice. The grand-prize winner will receive $25,000, with an additional $5,000 awarded among the remaining finalists.
