MILFORD — STORMAC boys hockey followed up a 7-4 win over Trumbull last Wednesday with a 4-2 loss to Westhill-Stamford on Saturday night. 

The Staples/Norwalk/McMahon co-op team played both games at Milford Ice Pavilion.

In the loss to Westhill-Stamford, Cooper Paul and Berkeley Johnson scored, Harry Goodburn had two assists and Jakub Laskovsky had an assist. 

Goaltender Mason Mountain made 22 saves. 

STORMAC led 1-0 going to the third and was within 3-2 late in the game when an empty net goal sealed things for Westhill-Stamford.

In the Trumbull contest, the teams were tied 2-2 after one period, and STORMAC carried a 6-4 lead into the third. 

Paul and Goodburn both scored twice and Johnson, Laskovsky and Shane Power lit the lamp. 

Uzi Greenman assisted three goals, Laskovsky assisted two and, Johnson and Kyle Hesen also had helpers. Mountain made 19 saves. 

It was a solid team effort for Coach Matt Bohn’s team.

STORMAC has a quick-turnaround rematch with Trumbull as the teams square off at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
