WESTPORT — Staples High’s baseball team, the No. 3 seed in the Class LL State Tournament, will host No. 30 Farmington in the first round.
The game is set at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 30.
The Wreckers will play the winner of the game between No. 14 Newtown and No. 19 Ridgefield in the second round, the next day (scheduled for 3:30 p.m., subject to change).
Staples went 16-4 in the regular season.
After defeating Ridgefield 6-0 in the FCIAC Tournament quarterfinals, the Wreckers were beaten 3-2 by Fairfield Warde in the semis. Warde went on to defeat Westhill of Stamford in the conference title game.
