WESTPORT — The Class L State Tournament bracket is set and Staples High’s boys lacrosse team earned the No. 2 seed behind Fairfield Prep.

Staples went 12-4 during the regular slate and, after crushing St. Joseph of Trumbull 19-2 in the FCIAC Tournament quarterfinals, the Wreckers lost 9-5 to New Canaan in the semis.

The Wreckers aim to bounce back at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, when they host No. 15 West Hartford, a 12-10 winner over No. 18 Westhill of Stamford in qualifying-round action.
