WESTPORT — A Porsche stolen in Westport this week, which two teens allegedly crashed into a cruiser fleeing police in New Britain, was found Thursday after being abandoned on a street in the nearby town of Berlin.

Two juveniles, 16- and 17-year-old males, seen leaving the damaged Porsche were taken into custody Thursday evening by police in Berlin.

Berlin police had received a bulletin to be on the lookout for a vehicle that “fled from New Britain police after crashing into one of their cruisers” earlier Thursday, according to a posting on the Berlin Police Department’s Facebook page.

The Porsche was stolen in Westport on early-morning Wednesday, local police confirmed Friday.

The juvenile suspects were detained at the Hartford Juvenile Detention Center.
