I am writing to express my strong support for Lee Goldstein’s candidacy for State Representative. During high school, I had the privilege of serving alongside Lee on the Board of Education as the student representative. Through that experience, I came to know Lee as an intentional, level-headed, thoughtful and compassionate leader.

Lee consistently made an effort to ensure that everyone’s concerns were heard and addressed while fostering a respectful and collaborative environment among board members. She approached her responsibilities with integrity and followed through on her commitments, demonstrating that her words were matched by meaningful action.

I am confident that Lee would bring these same qualities to the State House. Her sound judgment, thoughtful approach to decision-making, and willingness to take initiative would serve her constituents well. Having served on the Board of Education myself, I believe that this experience provides a valuable foundation for public service in higher office. Westport has seen this transition before, with Mr. Christie’s move from the Board of Education to serve as the town’s first selectman. I believe Lee is similarly well-prepared to take on greater responsibility and would be an excellent choice to represent our community in the State Legislature.
