STORMAC (Staples/Norwalk/Brien McMahon) hockey team over the past week played repeat matchups from the week before, and while scores differed significantly, results were the same.

The boys co-op squad edged Trumbull 2-1 last Wednesday at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton, but fell 7-1 Saturday to the Westhill-Stamford co-op team on the road at Terry Conners Rink.

In games a week earlier, STORMAC had outscored Trumbull 7-4 and was beaten 4-2 by the Stamford skaters.

STORMAC’s Thatcher Cullen and Berkeley Johnson scored and Devin Harris and Cooper Paul recorded assists in the rematch with Trumbull.

Goaltender Mason Mountain made 24 saves.

Johnson scored the game winner early in the third period, and Mountain made huge saves, especially in the last minute of the game to seal the win.

STORMAC, 4-4 overall, was set to play Milford on Monday, but the game was postponed prior to the anticipated snow storm; a rescheduled date will be announced.

STORMAC will next take on Masuk of Monroe, at Milford Ice Pavilion, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.)
