With snow in the forecast for Sunday and continuing overnight into Monday, the “Shoulder Check” game planned Monday by the STORMAC boys hockey team has been canceled.

The co-op team, with members from Staples, Norwalk and Brien McMahon high schools, was scheduled to play a game against Milford highlighting the Shoulder Check mission to “reach out, check in and make contact … and make kindness a contact sport.”

The team hopes to reschedule the event in the future, according to the Saturday announcement.
