WESTPORT – For the 35th year, Westport Sunrise Rotary is hosting Westport Uncorked, an evening of wine and food on Nov. 5. This year’s event will take place at the newly renovated Inn at Longshore.

About 100 organic wines, expertly curated by Cory D’Addario of The Fine Wine Company of Westport, will be available for tasting. Knowledgeable representatives from the many distributors will be serving the wine, with non-alcoholic wine also available.

Hors d’oeuvres designed to complement the wines will be served. This year, the renowned chocolatier Knipschildt will also provide samples. Attendees will be able to order the wines and chocolate in time for the holidays.

Westport Sunrise Rotary is a nonprofit service organization, with every dollar raised going to charity. The Rotary also hosts The Great Duck Race held each year in June. With the help of event sponsors, the club distributed $150,000 to charities and organizations last year.

In addition to local charities, the Rotary has also supported humanitarian projects in South America, Haiti, Africa and Ukraine, among others. Sunrise also provides hands-on service to the community, including helping students in Bridgeport, soliciting food donations several times a year to donate to The Homes with Hope Food Pantry and serving meals at The Gillespie Center.
