WESTPORT–The Building Department issued a permit to demolish the structure at 70 Clinton Avenue.

The two-story Colonial was built in 1930 and sits on a five-acre parcel. It has 3,900-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, four baths, a half-bath, a basement area, a crawl space, a garage, a stone patio, a pergola, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a finished upper story, a finished half-story and a finished attic.

The property traded hands in May 2021 for $1,500,000. The property’s current assessment is $764,400.

The southern end of Clinton Avenue begins at the intersection of Main Street and Compo Road North.
