
WESTPORT–The Historic District Commission recently approved the issuance of a permit to demolish the house at 32 Highland Road.
The single-story ranch was built in 1955. It has 1,800-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, three baths, a basement area, a garage, a screen porch, a stone patio and a wood deck.
The property traded hands in August for $935,000. It had previously traded for $620,000 in 2003 and for $370,000 in 1988. The property’s current assessment is $589,500.
Highland Road is off Bayberry Lane north of the Merritt Parkway.
