WESTPORT — A 47-year-old woman was charged with assault and other offenses after a domestic disturbance earlier this month, police said.
Sherline Lorius, of Westport, was charged May 8 with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order. She faced similar charges in connection with a domestic incident last month, police said.
Officers were dispatched May 4 to investigate a complaint by a resident that a relative — identified as Lorius — had “allegedly assaulted and threatened” the complainant. Lorius’s behavior, according to police, also violated a protective order.
A warrant for the arrest of Lorius was issued, and she was arrested May 8 at her residence. She was released on a promise to appear later at state Superior Court in Stamford.

Our “aspirational” town which has always welcomed any and all who can afford to live here has now been transformed by way of affordable housing to subsidize residents like this sterling character..As a result, your taxpayer dollars have twice paid to dispatch the WPD to this resident’s home. I shudder to think what blessings lie ahead as we open the doors on the new projects on Hiawatha Lane, Post Rd.W. the debacle on Wilton Rd., and the Riverfront project where they will have access to a private dock. Because hey, everyone ” deserves ” the right to an onobstructed waterfront balcony, right? In addition to paralyzing traffic at each stranglehold, what other benefits shall we reap?
